oil pressure

i was told by a friend that the 3.8`s have a pretty low oil pressure he told me that if i removed the oilpump took out the spring in the bump and stretched it a little that would encreas pressure would you guys recommend this?

H*LL NO!!! If you want to increase oil presure then go to a high presure or high volume kit. Just using the modified thrust plate per any of the buick performance books will help. Streching the spring will just give you a temporary fix and it won't last.

Compared to Chevy's, they look low, but you don't see engines dying left and right due to low pressure.

I just run the larger PF-52 sized filter and leave it that.
