Question Rich....110 MPG? Ohio mechanic, 400 hp Mustang, Ethanol..

I heard this on CNN....could it be true?

Best mechanic ever: Ohio man tunes Ford Mustang to produce 400 horsepower and return 110 mpg


And this is with a V-8...

Unlikely it's true, but the Progressive Automotive X Prize is a real competition. If it's legitimate, the PAXP will prove it.


CNN ran stories on a guy burning salt water for cheap energy. I wonder what ever happened to that.

That is total B/S. It's not that it's impossible. It's that the amounts needed for this chemical conversion to properly take place and be anywhere near functional couldn't possibly fit in an automobile. Not to mention the fact that modern engines were not made for this type of fuel. This is were one would have to 're-invent the wheel' so to speak. All those sites are bunk.
