78 Lesabre Sport Coupe

I purchased a 78 Lesabre Sport Coupe from an older woman. When I let off of the gas, I noticed some smoke coming out the tailpipe. However, it wouldn't happen on a regular basis. Last week, I looked behind me and all I could see was smoke. The car runs great, but now I can't even drive it due to the smoke. Is it a Turbo gasket? Head gasket? If you can help, please let me know.

It's the turbo oil seal gone bad.

Wow, a turbo LeSabre? That's got to be pretty rare. Smoke when you lift from the accelerator could be tired valve seals that are allowing oil into the cylinders under high vacuum. Does it smoke at start up too?

You can get them here : http://www.gpopshop.com/kits.html

I would also replace the valve guide seals as meanbuicks said. My valve seals and turbo seals went at almost the same time.

It never used to smoke at start up. Now it does. Do you think it could smoke due to blown rings? (I'm not mechanical!) The oil didn't have any antifreeze in it, so I have ruled out a head gasket issue. The car still runs smoothly
