Hate to be a prick, but when will the rules be finalized? I will be a last minute decision on if I can come as school is ending right around there, but a set of rules to get the car ready would be great.

My main question is will it be heads up or bracket?

If your going to be racing... ya need to be vocal about it. The class is being made for those that WILL race at BG.. not keyboard racers.

I'll be keyboard racing if the limit is a 76 turbo, heads up and that's it.

Us small but mighty turbo guys will be getting lunch after the first round for everyone.

I still vote for a bracketing system set up around the turbo's size. Then let everyone play,

EX
71mm +
T66-T70 ( 70gtq might need to get bumped up )
Stock to TE63

Sort of like Boxing with the different weight classes all under the same sanctioning body of rules.

Grumpy showed you can run 9.9 with a 67. Everyone is bleeding over a 76.. yet there has not been a single fast car with a 76 and a 109 block I have ever seen. Its like be scared of the lochness monster...yet nobody has ever seen it. I've seen plenty of 12 second 70+mm turbo 109 street cars..

No way your going to make different alky classes.. last year there were 2 cars. The year before we had 8-9 show up. Get real.. run what ya brung...

We need car count if its going to be a class.. without that.. there is "no class"

Well said Julio. If we go with one class qualifying together, take the top 8 and put them in a heads up class, pro tree, then take the rest and make it a brackett, pro tree, everyone in that class has an even and fair chance to run to the finals...

The bracket class does not have to worry about what turbo the guy in the lane beside you has, just have to go out, cut a good lite and beat his opponent to the finish line without breaking out... sounds simple and exciting. If you like racing... and that is the reason we go to a racing event, what better way than to get experience. You don't have to beat the heck out of your car to win a bracket race, just need to race smart and run your number. If anyone wants racing tips, check out our new BB and I'll be happy to give tips to be a winner.. in the Racing Forums.. COTTONSPERFORMANCE.COM - Powered by vBulletin

I like Jack's idea, split it up and then let us all hammer it out.

I guess I will tell Jay to cancel my twin turbo header kit.

Julio
Which is exactly why I am not going to push for certain rules if I know I can not be there. 99% chance says I will all night it Thursday night and arrive Friday to race but then again there is always that 1% chance. I am trying to be respectful and reasonable to those that will be there. O and I am trying to stay out of the HS drama which I see every day.

I've heard the new 70HPQ is making some noise, let's see who doesn't have these new turbo's around race time.
