voltage for MAP sensor

I swapped in an AVC dash and need to supply 5v to the map. where on the ECM can I tap in? I heard clear/black plug behind glove box gut which wire on which side? I already added a ground but need the power.

I think you are thinking of the signal wire, not the supply wire...

Check this link for the ecm wire that carries the proper 5.0 reference....this will make the map signal correct if you want to use it for logging later.

dont seem to be getting the 1.6v at pin B w/key on. I cut the green wire at the pac controller where it ran to the map sensor and ran it over to the green wire on the clear/black connector (Clear side)behind the glove box. there does not seem to be 1.6v on either side of it. What did I miss here?
I have the 5v at pin C and the ground seems to be ok, Just missing the 1.6v.
did I need to cut the green wire ? I reconnected it and still dont seem to be getting the 1.6v .

I took the car for a ride and it seems to be spraying. I still could not figure out the 1.6v thing, I only saw .015ish volts not 1.6v. the spray light comes on about 4 psi now so I guess it is working.

there may be more than one green wire in the bundle? On a three bar, with the key on, engine off you should see about 1.6 volts (have to doublecheck what I put on the page) at sea level.....I see about 1.48 volts at 2000 ft.

would it still be working without the correct voltage? do I check this with the map connector on or off. there was only 1 green wire that I saw on the PAC harness. it was already running to the map (B) but I still do not get the 1.6v no matter which way I had it hooked up. It seems to be working, but I would like to get the correct voltage at the pin (B)

I am referring to, and showing, the green wire in the stock wiring harness that ran to the factory map sensor. It connects to terminal B on the map sensor. With a three bar sensor, it should read close to 1.6 v but only when the sensor is plugged into the connector and the key is on. This is the output from the map sensor so the sensor has to be plugged in.

Be sure the ground probe of your meter is on a good ground while probing the green wire/terminal B for voltage.

Terminal C should read 5.0 volts on the gray wire.

I don't know anything about the pac wiring, but, the feed to it from the map sensor should be the green wire....don't know if this is from under the hood, or from under the dash.

If it is not feeding the correct voltage than I don't think it will work. Call Julio.

alright that is the info I was missing. nowhere did it say to do this while connected. I slid a paperclip in to terminal B and there was 1.56v.
THANKS STEVE!!
