| Being that the technology is so new, I don't think we have yet seen the benefits...but, from my opinion..... It should make things much more repeatable which means the user can dare tune closer to the edge thereby optimizing the benefits of high volume alky injection. Hand in hand with this, it could well improve vaporization/atomization which would allow more alky to be injected. Finally, the really, really serious guys can probably use the dyno and the controller to get the alky flow optimized as well as possible thru out the rpm band. Coincidentally, it may improve the performance of street cars for the same reasons. It is early in the game so we must wait and see ![]() As in all facets of the hobby, there will be a lot of nay sayers, but, people change their opinions once they see results....at least I do ![]()

| Save me from myself! | I"ve had experience installing and tuning SMC, Razor's, and the Coolingmist kits. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION EVERYONE JUST ONE GUYS SO DONT" TAKE IT PERSONALLY: My opinion is you can get a great tune from every kit offered. I'll rank them based on some categories BASED ON EXPERIENCE. Ease of Install: 1. SMC 2. Razor 3. Cooling Mist Technology: 1. Cooling Mist 2. Razor 3. SMC Cost: 1. SMC 2. Razor 3. Cooling Mist Reliability: 1. Razor 2. SMC *Not enough time has passed on cooling mist setup to rank* Features: 1. CoolingMist 2. Razor 3. SMC Buick Specific Features: 1. Razor 2. SMC 3. CoolingMist Warrenty Repair: 1. 3 way tie Tuning Support Buick Specific: 1. Razor 2. Cooling Mist 3. SMC Performance/cost 1. Razor 2. SMC 3. Cooling Mist Overall: 1. Razor 2. Cooling Mist 3. SMC As stated at the start. These are my personal feelings from dealing with all three kits. If your'e a gadget guy and you dont' mind the cost I think the CoolingMist is a nice setup. I don't like the bottle that comes under the hood as it was too large and bulky for the underhood mount. I'd personally prefer the trunk mounted location if choosing coolingmist. When used in conjunction with an palm pilot and supplied tuner software it has a great easy to read and use layout. I had a much more detailed explanation but something happened. Perhaps I'll add more later and explain why I ranked them as I did.

| Save me from myself! | To add to that, I had a friend who had a completely destroyed SMC unit that Steve fixed. He did the same for the pump as well. It was so bad I told him to throw it away, but Steve handled it. The guy I helped with his coolingmist needed another part and got it sent right away. Time will tell I think.

| Looks like a fair honest assessment without spin.

| Coolingmist trunk mount ?'s. I like the design of the tank & the idea but have a few ?'s. Is a trunk firewall needed with this tank? Will the plastic lines & bungee cord hold downs pass NHRA tech? External venting needed? Is pressurized fuel in the trunk safe? How are these tanks being used in the Buick's? Thanks for your time!!

| Im not going to commend on NHRA, Again, if you want stainless hose, we have it. If we start adding aluminum bungs and other things the price will go out of control, you can always add your own straps if you wish. The tank is not under any real pressure. CM |

Is the trunk mount tank vented? What are the dimensions of the trunk tank? Will it fit in the spare tire well of a Turbo Buick? It would be pretty easy to put a safety firewall over the well if it fit in there.

| the tank is 8 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 11 inches long. The checkvalve adds another inch on the length. the tank has a vent in the lid, if you want to vent it outside, you can do that as well. It will require a few fittings. Our "failsafe" is coming out in a few months. Like our other products, it will innovate. No info on price yet, i'll announce that in a few weeks info |

| You are correct. Any tank mounted in the trunk must be vented outside and have a posilock type cap. Also a fire brake wall must be installed behind the rear seat and speaker tray. Also having methanol or any fuel storage in your washer tank or any tank in the engine bay is illegal too. I think it would be easier making a trunk mounted system legal. Just follow the NHRA tank mounted fuel cell rule. should be on there website or do a search. I think I cut and pasted it here a few times.
