| Anyone else having problems with the shurflo check valve? Just noticed recently my pump is allowing alky to be sucked from the tank at idle. I have another pump sitting in the garage, I'm sure I'll just swap them out for now. Anyone else having issues with this?

| Check Valve I purchased a check valve from McMaster Carr ( or CoolMist) that has a brass body and stainless ball and spring it had a 15 crack pressure and has worked great. Just plumb in-line after the pump (the line to the nozzle)and took care of my prime issues. ![]() |

| The checkvalve thats in the shurflo pump I am fairly sure has a low cracking pressure. The one in your pump is probably good enough to prevent the water from draining from your tank while on a hill, but engine vacuum is somewhere around 14ish psi at max. You need atleast a 15 psi cracking pressure checkvalve or a solenoid. |

| We dont ship USPS, because it gets lost to often. We ship FEDEX, its more expensive but more reliable. $9.95 is the lowest shipping. If you buy 1 checkvalve its $9.95, if you buy 10 its the same price. If someone doesn't want to pay our shipping, I guess I cant help that. CM. |

| Perhaps you should reconsider your public positions as a vendor versus your private feelings. I think I will call it quits with the pump I bought from you. Thanks for the offer, however.

| Steve, Please accept my appologies. It was never my intention to offend you. Never wanted to start off a Monday like this. I was certainly out of line. Sorry. alcohol-injection dot com has a nice new checkvalve. CM. Last edited by coolingmist : 04-23-2007 at 12:46 PM. |

Just had to return a (wrong part#) rad fan to Jeg's. Walked into Kinko's, a FedEx shipping portal, used a FedEx-supplied container & the total charge for everything was $4.95, w/$100.00 insurance. HTH --- ![]() | |

| 1 of 64,000,000 | i don't think shipping is an issue after all summit and jegs have a flat shipping or handling charge...its just the way you answered...and you apologized but those people that were on the "fence" about you might have just fallen off...got me thinking again
