ABSOLUTELY!

I don't see any problems with that... personally, I agree with it. If a customer buys a Cell phone (I own/manage a cell phone dealer) from me, takes it home.. has dropped calls, and flaky screen.. I'll return it. IF that customer so much as loosens a screw attempting to diagnose or fix it themselves... they're SOL. I don't care if they have a PHD in electrical engineering. They're not autoroized to repair/replace faulty board equipment, so they have no business taking it apart.

MOST consumers know this.
Exactly.

NOW.. I don't see where Cooling mist mentioned knowing about faulty products out there... but C'mon...
We never said that. Thats just Docs way of twisting everything around. He either has the reading comprehension of an 11 year old or he is intentionally making up crap, maybe both.

Quote:

EVERY manufacturer has faulty products out there... Doesn't matter what it is.. there's a defective one out there right out of the box. Manufacturers KNOW THIS... and Accept that some will slip through QC. And they WILL warranty it, AS LONG AS THE CONSUMER DOESN'T TRY TO TAKE IT APART!!!
Exactly why there is a warranty. You are right on.

Quote:
Cooling Mist said that he sells his units through different compainies as well... He has NO control over wether or not that company sells a known defective unit or not... He can only stop selling to that vendor if the issue is proven and continues.
I know the company that he bought his from had nothing to do with this. Infact, Jordan told him that this controller had worked fine for a month. I dont know what to say.

Quote:
Motorola can't be responsible if I decide to sell a bunch of DOA phones anyway... I'm responsible for that shady work. Motorola will honor the warranty... IF IT'S NOT DAMAGED.

well.. That's just my opinion...

I think your posts are very well thought out. There are always going to be anti-enthusiasts like Doc that will take any opportunity..even one that completely denies any basis of logic to try and bash us.

In your opinion.

Intially, Coolingmist was wronged, yep, no doubt. But as things progessed his actions were no more *honorable* then the original poster, IMO.

BTW, have you heard about what the result was of the lawsuit?.

Slowblackcar,

Yeah you definately dont want this controller from me. Those poor 4 wires were so mangled that you would have to actually cut about 1" off the ends and re-strip the ends (thats alot of work ). Plus the unit was a mess, as coolingmist said, b/c those f*cktards dont know how to tighten screws like the serial port for instance, which he knows I wouldn't loosen even if I pulled off the backing plate to look inside, yet it was missing. At any rate, as of this afternoon, we did a 10lb boost launch and ran over the controller right at around 23lbs with Razor's kit. It was great!

Just wondering how come there has been two people in the last couple months come forward with complaints against Coolingmist with very little activity on this board.

Just thinking the last person had a small number of post before they started into Coolingmist, now this latest one has "11" post and all "11" are in their own thread they started????

Not taking sides here it is a two party situation and I am neither party.
I have bought a progressive trunkmount kit from Coolingmist. I actually picked it up in person and met the owner. Seems like a straight up guy, however I have it just sitting in the trunk not hooked up yet so I have no Input on the system. I however must say the setup, detail and overall quality is very nice.

Not trying to add fuel to the fire, just adding my two cents!

well the few that are running it in Buicks are not running one person has run it but no one else has posted their results with a Buick .. I was waiting for Whiskey Jack to run his as a comparison to "other's" he had in his car .. He has a great build up I was just thinking it might have "to" much adjustability for some people like me to screw up
"opinion" (ya we all have those ) I would have thought the few "problem childs" Cooling Mist had I can't see why not just fix it for the guy OR work with him being right or wrong to give the company an atta boy for service when they didn't HAVE to do it rather than 5 pages of "opinion's"
ok back under our foot of snow

I have the cooling mist trunk mount progressive kit in my hybrid with dual nozzles, I have only been to the track once with it on alchy but the alchy worked perfect, I set the turn on point at 6# and max at 28# with the ramp control in the middle, I had zero knock and zero bog on both passes I made at 22 psi, the times I ran are in my signture. Track conditions, a broken header, a broken u joint and cracked cylider heads spraying antifreeze on my headers were the issues at the track that day. I will easily be in the nines on pump gas and drag radials in my 3500# with driver hybrid with the cooling mist kit.

To get to the technical adjustability you would need to hook it up to a laptop. That is how you change curve, starting dc, etc. There is nothing for you to mess up on the unit itsefl, just start, full, tune, etc. There is no requirement to use the software if you dont want to.

post # 17 is below. Instead of taking us up on it, he decided to run it over with his car, which is his choice.

Jordan,

I dont want any more hard feelings about this. Requirements for warranty are there for a reason. It is to protect our company. We dont look for a reason to deny a warranty, we simply look for the warranty guidelines to be followed.

I will be willing to work something out with you if you still want it covered under warranty. If you do email us at info@coolingmist.com.

David

Yeah "work something out" meaning that I would still end up paying some money out of pocket for another controller. No thanks! Even if I ended up with a new controller, i'd still have to sell it. I'd rather not sell someone else a cluster f*ck. I'd rather not deal with him anymore.
