Just ran a gallon of M-3 and compared to M-1 no difference to me. Still 27 lbs no knock on 93 .

As far as 116 to Import which is like what 121? I think you probaly would not see a big difference there. Except I wish my alky smelled like 116 when I got on it.

Buy some of that cherry stuff to add in your alky tank.

What timing are you running w. 27 psi? I"m running 27psi right now with very little timing and zero knock and I'm about to start turning it up.

It's a Extender Extreme chip with standad timing 21/23. I have 0 knock also and it's pretty nice!

I will bump it up to 26* when I get it too the track!

Cool, I have the same chip but I've got the timing even lower than that right now just to be safe while tuning in this GenII. Where are you in Bama? Close to the panhandle?

the dyno tests that VP did I am sure they are done on cars running straight Meth and not injecting it as we do...as the rep said the M1 has a better cooling effect which is what we are looking for as I understand it

Any updates on the M3? I'm trying to buy some methanol now and all I can find is the M3.

TURBOCULOSIS26 - you are getting 21 mpg? What is your setup like and how much fuel pressure are you running and where is your pump speed at on the alky? I would like to tune my car for better gas mileage since. Thanks man.

Shev.

I have been providing SEVERAL of the MAGNA member methanol for quite a while now. I havent heard any bad things about the stuff I get. I get it locally from Hillside Oil and its from thier tank in the ground. Ive used it personally in my GN with no problems, running the Razor's kit. Ive also ran isopropyl in a pinch as well. Not sure if its M1 or M3...

Whatis the shelf life of Methanol "VP"? I have had a drum inmy garagefor about 6 months. The drum is up on blocks to help form moisture. Guy told me that helps. I sure thought I could go thru 55 gal faster then this! Man was I wrong but for 110 a drum why not buy a drum?

I've had a partial 55 gal drum last 2 years while I was re-doing the engine. Don't know if it would've lasted longer. I burned it with no problems. The important thing is to keep the drum off the concrete and make sure it is sealed up tight between the times that you pump fuel out. I always remove the pump and seal the drum between fillings.

That's one way methanol has it over racing gasoline. Once you've popped the cork on a drum of racing gasoline, it goes sour fast.

Methanol is hygroscopic. Keep it sealed up and away from moisture and it should last a while.
