. Cant help that. My hardest thing is deciding which dial to put on the damn windows. However getting back, no it is not hard to tune. Get your self an adj boost controller. The one I have (bstc) is really cool, a snap to install and get a lot of functions with it including 3rd gear boost control. Get it, install it and burn it you wont be disappointed.

| Well it all depends, my suggestion is get the system first and tune from the factory settings. After that then see what car needs or doesen't. Since it is a progessive system it is rather easy to tune. Turn the knob until you see zero knock is kind of all you need. I have not had to play with it much. I left the turn on and intial settings alone on the box under the dash (when you get the system you will know what I mean) then I just started to test what my car needed starting at a base of 14lbs. After I had zero knock at 14lbs without the alky I then turned it on and recorded every run in DS. I did this in the st. first though since I didn't have access to track at all. After I took my first runs, I then turned the alky on and boost set to 18#'s, I saw no knock at all and just kept turning it up and as it needed I turned the knob on the alky up too. I pretty much maxed out my boost contoller and had no knock with the alky knob at about 6 or so(it goes up to 8). The number you see in the siggy was done with the above tuning. I still have a lot left in her its just I suck and have no suspension. That number in the sig was had with a 1.76 60', if I can get her down to 1.59 or so I know she will be a low 11 second car. I am also maxing out my injectors (42.5) which will be bumped up to 60#'s in the next few months in preparation for this season. You know the rest, get a good chip (tt) for alky, set the fuel psi to what he asks for, I run ac plugs gapped at .032 and make sure you car is ready for some high boosting blah blah blah. It really makes a difference. Honestly I look at alky like this. Really you car is doing what you car can do its just the alky is allowing it to perform up to its capabilities. Alky doesn't automatically make the car faster it jsut allows the car to do its thing. Make sense I hope, cause it does in my mind let me know I can help you through the whole install as I had a good time installing it since I never done some of the things required (soldering, opening up the dash, etc...) Thanks,

| then spend the money on what you need...not what you want! If your converter has gone bad, then the tranny is right behind it....otherwise, there is no need for a converter with a TE44

| Don't get one from Eric S. I'm counting on the slippery tranny to allow me to win the race. One of these years...... Maybe it'll be the tuning instead. Get at least a Hi-pro if not a full billet one. What's $3K to win some bragging rights. ![]() |
