Cool Used SMC Alky Kit

I just rec'd my used SMC alky kit in the mail & don't know what I really have?? I was told it was a progressive kit--but I'm not smart enuf to verify that? I know it's an older system, with the pump located in-tank.

Attached is a pix of tank & in-car controller--perhaps some of you can help ID it for me--progressive or non, etc. I see a pump speed control knob, so it looks like that is a manual setting (thereby not progressively increasing with boost?).

I ckd smc site & saw nothing re: these older kits or replacement parts. I assume I should, as a minimum, purch & install a new pump!?

TIA for help,

non progressive...lower knob sets the boost the pump comes on...and the upper knob regulates the volume of flow...

Talked to Steve today & we agreed I could/would "bench test" system prior to installing and/or prior to just sending all to him for ck-out/rebuild/replace...

I spent much of the day locating 100% methanol & "lube" additive--min. meth purch quant = 5 gal & enuf lube addy for 55 gal--so I'm set for awhile...

Next I need install my Walbro 340 & hotwire prior to alky testing. Rec'd my new alky chip from Eric today also--hot dammmm, getting excited--gotta go!

Update

Well, my pump failed to start/run ( ) for bench test so, off the kit/system went to SMC Steve for ck-out/ refurbishing.

Did "baseline runs" today at "the Rock" & proved (for umpteenth time, no doubt!) street meats don't stick/launch. My goal for the day was to get in 12's--but I kept coming up .0.04-0.08 short.

It felt good after being away from the starting-line for 45 years!

You will be VERY HAPPY with Steve & his prices to upgrade the old to new! I actually just sent my progressive kit back for a freshen up (had a quirk) that he fixed for free, paid postage back to me & threw in a new overflow tank & brass nozzle for FREE even tho I asked repeatedly to charge me something!
He is a Great Vendor to have & I told him many times!
Just a little low key I think as he never posts, & keeps his answers short & to the point in e-mail. Always answers his phone when I have called him!
Again, Great Vendor!!

Dave,

I have to agree with you 100%, when I installed my kit years ago I broke a small piece. I called him for a new piece and when he didn't ask for my CC # I offered it to him but he wouldn't charge me anything. He just sent me a new part (nozzle) and said to call him if I needed anymore help. I have met him now a number of times in Bowling Green and he has always been a great vendor. I am thinking about upgrading my kit to his progressive kit also.

Rec'd kit back yesterday--Steve had note in return box that they fixed the float and all else was working perfect--pump at 100psi & controller & harness all OK too. Of course there was no invoice for repairs & I was unable to reach him today (but left him a message...) to ask him about same & thank him for quick turnaround.

Based on others' reported experiences I probably won't receive an invoice either, but he'll have my gratitude & business for life. My mind is already made up should I get the Progressive Kit bug.

Monte

P.S. Steve, if you're out there somewhere in the background, a BIG THANKS & I'll keep trying to contact you directly on the tele...

Yes, Steve C is a class act. I have been doing business with him beginning with his first kits. I currently have another progressive kit on order and am upgrading the other one to dual feeds.

He is a great guy even tho he does not use many words when he communicates...but, that means I can get all mine in without interruption!
