Alky volume issues?

I don't drive my car much but last week we went for a ride to town.

The boost is set at a conservitive 22# with a round bottle SMC kit.

It was knocking pretty bad (7*-10*) so I thought I better take a look.

It no longer bogs the motor at idle using the test button.

Took the hose off the up-pipe and tryed it into a 500ml water bottle.

Three tests at 5 secs. each got me about 1 1/2 inches of alky. Not much.

Is it time for a new pump?

I think they should flow about 75 psi. I know I don't have that.

Steve has never aswered my e-mail. Now what?

he must be out as he is normally very good...

yes, it should be in that range, and, it must flow enuf to bog the engine...both of my kits lasted for years until I started parking the cars for long periods of time.

I forgot what he told me he charged for installing a new pump, but, it was not a lot.

I would think that a viton washer would be the most alky resistant if you can find one.

Double check your number. The one listed at the other site was wrong.

Post the number your calling.
