| I was wondering would a mild Nitrous kit be safe on a N/A computer Q-jet V6? or would Alcohol or Propane be better?

| Free Door Removal | although I have never used nitrous my buddy has. He is spraying a 125 shot on an old mopar slant six with cast pistons, and it has gone through 10 bottles no problems. I am sure you could make it work, just be careful. I think the montecarlo boards and such may have a lot more info on nitrous than is around here. Joe

| nos will work great on your car start with about 75 hp. the alky and propane are for turbo cars.

| If you have stock(cast) pistons I would go with a "wet" kit. The wet kit has two pumps - one for nitrous and one for more fuel. This will prevent the lean condition that can occur with nitrous only and burn a hole in the top of your piston. HTH.

| wet kit is the way to go but not sure what you mean about two pumps. if you run high hp levels you need a dedicaded pump for the kit but the nitrous itself requires no pump. if you are running the stock mech. pump i wouldn't go over 75hp. thats why i recomended that level in the first place. thats plenty for your setup imo. wet kit means that fuel is mixed with the nitrous.a dry kit only sprays nitrous and no fuel. has nothing to do with the pump. hope this helps and dont confuss you more. ![]()

| Well I still have the stock fuel pump and stock pistons (engine has not been rebuilt nor does it need it yet), can't find any elec pumps with the 3rd hookup.

| The stock pump on my engine has 3 hookups, one from the tank to the pump, one from the pump to the carb, and a 3rd line I think its a vapor line to the vapor can? If I replaced my stock pump with a elec one I don't know what to do about the 3rd line?

| just hook the pickup line up and block the other two off. one is a return and i think the other is a vent. i run a holley blue.it came with a regulator. one port for motor one for nos! mount the pump in the back near the tank, they push better than pull. ![]()
