Need nozzle advice on my alchy injection

I made some runs down the 1/4 mile and got to about 18.5-19 lbs boost and started to get 4 deg retard at the end of the run. I am running 93 oct with stock turbo. My question is, should I try to get more alcohol into the motor by using a larger nozzle? I am using 1 M10 from McMaster and with my system (home built) I cannot adjust the output for more flow. Would the M15 nozzle be better or just back down the boost and live with it there?
I was running a best of 13.2 at 102 mph on a 90 deg day. Thanks

paul

Put a .015 jet in......

how much pressure is your system putting out?

What pump are you useing? What timing are you running? Is your fuel pump upgraded, or at least hot wired?

Not enough data.

What were O2's when the knock started surfacing, what is the pressure of the pump, post a time slip, etc... What timing was being run?

A 15 will increase flow, altho all else always has to be looked and not just point the finger at the alky.

Ok here are some answers to your questions until I get home:
I am using a shurflow pump (one recommended on this site). Never measured pump output pressure. I can just do this with the engine not running, right?

I have a 340 pump hotwired from racetronics. I am using one of Eric's chips burned for alchy on the street. Not sure of the timing until I look at chip.

I will review turbolink for that run and see what the O2's were but from earlier runs they were high 700 to low 800's.

Hope this helps for now.

The shurflow pump has a tiny allen head pressure adjust screw on the top of the pump. If you haven't touched it, the pressure is way to low. I cranked mine down almost all the way and then backed off a half turn until the stumbleing went away. Or about 120psi...

Good luck.

So do you think it would be worth increasing the nozzle size?

If I do turn the pressure up, which way do I turn the screw? What is the ideal pump pressure to have? I may hook up a gage and check it.

Thanks, paul

I really doubt you need a larger nozzle. And as I said in the previous post my ideal press was about 120 psi. Yours will probably be a little less. There are no set numbers. It's a trial and error type of thing.
