steve, I checked around the engine today. I noticed there is a leak between header and turbo(can see carbon tracks) and pass side header flange leaks, I see carbon tracks on spark plug boots. going to fix this tomorrow. These could be causing the rough idle , no??

thanks
Ralph

I would not think so, but, it needs to be fixed anyway. Maybe I will be wrong.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks around the throttleblade shaft, plenum base, checked intake bolts for a loose bolt, egr valve base seal, etc?

Yeah, pretty much. I am going to check the lines going from the tb to the heater box, the thin line, hard. I am going to do some investigation tomorrow , see what I find.

thanks

Arent his chips calibrated for like 43 PSI fuel pressure. I had an issue with mine having the car die when I dropped it into gear when cold.. ended up being my FP was at 41 vs 43. Put it at 43.. no issues.

You have to have a car in tune to run this since some things like BLM's are now hidden. Also check to see what your idle fuel setting is at, O2's at idle are? and other things. Give Steve Y a call.. if anyone knows the ME-R its him.

I know enough to get myself in trouble .. actually trying to iron out the version 11.6 chip.. oops.. not to suppossed to say anything

I was told to put it at 40/41. I am going to be working on the gn tomorrow. I have been emailing Steve back and forth. his support is amazing. I am going to be looking for leaks. my idle was adjusted via me.

thanks

Yeah, the chip is actually cheap if you consider the support offered. Unreal.. Hats off..

There is a post I put on T6 called chasing the BLM's.. it may offer you some insite on checking for vacuum leaks if that is your issue.

Does your oil smell like gas?

Get a vauum pump with guage from an auto parts store, and start checking.. everything has to hold vacuum, if it doesnt.. then look as to why. The PCV doesnt since its a controlled vacuum leak.

I had a car with a bad TB-plenum gasket.. that one was a nightmare to find.
