Alcohol newbie

I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to modifying cars, i can do simple bolt on's no problem, but when all you have to do is swap a airbox lid (f-bodies) or something like that, it's not real hard.

I want to get a alky system because we only got 90 octane as far as the eye can see here, and i can't run much boost because of that.

How hard is it to maintain your alky system? I know not to let it run out and to get a knock sensor, but do i have to be a car encyclopedia to be able to setup/maintain this thing?

Not hard at all. Some kits very user friendly. I started out with one of the easiest kits to install and use but now I have my eyes on a much more tune-able kit. If you do all your own tuning then do some homework on whats out there and choose a kit thats within your ability to tune. More importantly talk to the people who make the kits and get a feel for the kind of tech support you will have from them. I can tell you this for sure - Alky is the answer to your delima.

Wendy is right...no rocket science required...just follow the instructions.

I think one should worry more when people are lining up to get out of a country rather than into it.

If they're sneaking in, we must be doing something right.
