WHO are the design engineers behind these and where are the Roots of first implementaion?

? DID GENERAL ELECTRIC or some TURBOPROP aircraft engine company do this twenty years ago?

Garrett, Federal mogal, IHI, KKK, R-jay, plus a lot of companies make turbochargers that I never heard of.

Is there a Industry wide trade journal on TURBOCHARGERS?

I guess a patent search on turbine compressor impellers may be a start to find the origin and timeline.
