you dont need to go to all the way to the battery ,
the back of alternator lug works just as good
,just take a short length of wire with a gator clip terminal on one end and a female spade on the other
clip onto alternator 'bat' lug and plug into the FP connector by the a/c lines
on the regals you can use the feed for the hoodlamp for power ,it plugs right into the FP connector
