Beleive me ANYONE can do it. Lots of guys across the border running way faster. Mike R(ttypewhite) and his dad are right thier as well. I think no one really bothers to try and run on straight pump gas. I am no master tuner. I just use common sense. I have owned this car since 1992 and have paid my dues.
They did not boot me off. I just didnt want too wait 2hrs for another pass and i really didn't want too push the car any harder. It was my ride home.
Heres my basic combo,
109 block, 2 ctr steel caps, .030 over wisecos w/mollys
stock standard crank, rods, flexplate, and balancer w/arp bolts
ported, gn1's w/1.55 t&d's, gm steel shim head gaskets.
210/210 .475 .475 cc hyd rlr
pte front mount
70 gtq .85 4 bolt on ctr
atr headers, 3" dual exh(always run closed), 3"dp, and gate w/rjc valve and cheap manual bleeder, 2nd lee gate on the crossover too keep the boost down on the street.
stock ported intake w/1"spacer, kenne bell 70mm t.b. and plenum
200r4 century trans with t-brake and all the goodies.
9" a/c non l/u aprox 34-3600 stall
3.42 stock diff except for mooser 28spline axles.
stock suspension except h&r bar, ss lowers, 90/10 up front, 2 airbags.
stock driveshaft with spicer joints.
home made double pumper stock fuel lines, 75lb inj.
