An 8% turnaround is obscene? Y'know, it's not a monopoly, they *do* have competing companies. I will give you this, though- they did manage to get into a business that can hold our economy by the nuts. If we'd been pursuing all the energy available to us all along we wouldn't be in this mess...but I guess somebody thinks they saw an Ivory Billed Woodpecker somewhere so that's been put on hold. This country didn't get where it is by NOT utilizing what's available to us.
