Yes, this material is made for heat resistance and soundproofing specifically for aircraft. I adapted it for car use and it performs admirably. By all means it can be used in door panels, trunk lids, etc.

Hoodiners are $85, 3 heat-resistant silver vinyl decals are $35 and shipping is $13 in the USA, $23 for Canada. The decals are the BUICK/SUPERCHARGED/Turbo 6 logo and they look great! Today is Labor Day in the USA so there's no mail service, if you order it today it will go out tomorrow. I usually send them out same-day but it's a holiday.
