Since it is a GM front drive, the answer would be no or not really practical given the fab work involved.

The GM front drive transverse engine layout has a couple of features that don't lend itself to RWD apps.
1.) the air intake is at the rear of the engine where the tranny mounts up.
2.) if you were able to rotate the intake 180*, your coolant flow would not work properly, since the hoses typically enter from the rear of the engine.
3.) another issue may be the bolt pattern for the transmission.

All is not lost. You may be able to find a 3.8 engine, tranny and ECM/harnesses from a late model RWD drive Camaro (96-02) This may be a n easier way to go since the engine is longitudinal vs transverse. The fab part would probably involve motor and tranny mounts and exhaust, but this would be the route I would go, since you may find a Camaro (or Firebird) owner of this vintage wiling to swap this combo out for a V8
