| Here are some boneyard pics I took a couple of months ago.
Pic1&2=This is an 81 Diablo. Painted up in black and silver 78 Corvette Indy Pace Car colors. At first I thought this was just another 82-85 ElCamino but as I looked inside I saw the GMC horn cap and if you squint really hard you can make out the word Diablo on what's left of the dashpad name plate. What a minute. GMC didn't make the Diablo after 1981. Yep somebody hung the 82 -87 front clip on it. The VIN says this was an 81 with a 305. And this was a bench seat truck.
Pic 3=This is what's great about hitting the boneyard on the weekend. You can always find at least 2 or 3 G-Bodies in the parking lot. I was saving this pic for a special Donks boneyard story but than I discovered this Cutlass was parked next to a 5th gen.No wonder I have to get up early to get the good parts. I didn't get a good pic of the donk door but it had a mural of the frog from Apple Jacks cereal painted on it. What's up with that? I usually keep score of who and what G-Body is parked in the lots. My fellow white trashers aren't doing too good of a job of keeping these classics on the road. Not compared to the low riders and big wheels crowd anyway. Hmmm? That's funny. You never see Funkmaster Flex or Xibit crawling around the boneyard.
Pic 4&5=I dont know if the roof was cut off before it hit the yard or after but this 70 ElCamino had seen better days. I'm guessing this was a 70 as the front clip was a different color than the tub.
