| Honestly I would question the tech who pulled out the tranny. He probably never told the tranny tech that there was anything wrong or the tranny tech wasn't qualified. My point was for $300 maybe a re-seal and look through - obviously nothing else.
I've seen bench work go bad by the "best" tranny techs. Most is lack of information received and what the customer really wants. Having the car prior and post a rebuild is the best to ensure a quality job is completed. Most of us know that $300 doesn't go far but it can correct certain problems.
The mechanic did not take care of his customer. Now his customer is looking for answers. No one questioned the mechanic who pulled out the tranny while the motor was being built.
