I've got one of the techs out in my shop that charges me that plus another $250-$400 to rebuild a tranny. And before this tech I had another tech do the entire job for $300 parts and labor. And that had to have been the best bang for the buck as far as tranny rebuilds go. It was dailed in right off the bench. You know I have to agree on the arogant remarks too. Why does everybody assume that $300 cant even get you a filter changed on these POSes? Nobody knows who the tech was.Nobody knows what he replaced. Just because it cost less than a mint automatically makes it a bad job? Heck maybe the damn TV cable just needed adjusting. He didn't say who installed the shift kit. Maybe he should take it back to the tech and have him dial in the intermediate servo pin. It's all a guess. While I agree that it takes some fineese to build a good transmission I will say that money does not equate to a piss poor job. Not everybody is building a TSM car and has to every F'n billet part ever made. Why doesn't everybody understand that? Okay off my soapbox.
