I guess this is the best place to answer the question of why I didn't use the power seat track from an 87 G-body with the split bench seat.Afterall I think there are a few threads where I stated that I have used one on my car. Well I did try it as I had one laying in the garage. It went in with out a problem. Actually I had one problem that I couldn't live with. The split bench adjuster assembly places the bucket seat to close to the door. It wasn't that big of a deal at first but damn it, it didn't leave me any room to pull up the seat belt buckle. And I bet something would have been damaged if the buckle accidently got pushed to far down on the belt pinching it between the seat and the door trim panel. It is a good choice if you dont have the bucket seat adjuster and you have to have a power seat. You can see how tight it is in my pic.
