now if you want a rough guidline for amount of timimg to start with for the octane you may run just look at the options for the extender chips on mikes site

Octane (WOT spark advance degrees: low gear/high gear)
1 - 91 (17/15)
2 - 92 (18/16)
3 - 93 (19/17)
4 - 96 (21/19)
5 - 98 (23/21) <---- Translator Plus, Alcohol Injection

7 - 108(27/25)
8 - 108+(29/27)

as for how much boost you can run , intercoolers and alky as well as outside temps will have some effect on what you can run that day and most chips will have a recommended boost level on it and there should be enough fuel commanded to cover boost for whats on the chip , you can always try for a little more boost by watching o2s and knock and adding fuel if needed but if injectors are small and are already at 100% you cant add more in chip and only other way is increase base fuel pressure (oldschool) and thats a dangerous game to play unless you are really watching (recording) the O2s ,(btw if your over 80% on injector duty its time for bigger injectors!!) and realize the pressure limits of your pump (boost +base so if you run 25# boost and 45 base FP then thats already about the limit of most healthy 340 pumps, 70psi , and understand as pressure goes up volume available from pump goes down so there are limits to boost since you need fuel not just octane or cold inlet air
