Sorry that had to happen, but you really got lucky. I think those steering collar locks are a great investment.
Your car was already running, but most people know that it takes less than a minute to get into a Regal and fire it up with no theft deterants.
Anytime my car is not locked in the garage with the Cavalier parked behind it, I have my collar lock on it. Stay away from those clubs because stock steering wheels are expensive to replace.
Put on as many deterants that are possible without making you take an hour to start your own car. Although, someone can always tow it too. There is no stoping a professional theif, but your theives were ammetures to say the least.
