This has been resolved, I suppose. My money is back in the mail to be via tracking number. It is not ongoing, please don't post it around as if I am still looking for him.

About the tags.... all states I know of offer a temp permit at the license office. Though he would have to have the title from the bank and signed over to you when you arrive. This whole situation is a mess, and I just know my wife would be tearing into me about it.  Hope it works out for ya!

We don't have temp tags here. You can't insure a car unless its currently registered and you can't register a car unless you have the title. Its such a ****ED up process.
You have to take the title to your insurance company, they fill out a form that you take to the registery with the title and then you get plates. If you try to take the car off the road for the winter and turn in the plates they notify your insurance company and your insurance is cancelled! Such a great system!!!! So you have to pay full insurance on a car even if it sits in the garage for 6 months.
