Bush just needs to whisper in their ear that Kerry ain't going to take care of them and they better figure out whom they would rather have as president.
The American people will not be allowed to forget it in election year. If they crank up production, the dems will claim Bush had a deal with them. If they don't, the dems will claim he did nothing.
It's all about politics for the rest of the year. If Bush walks across water, they will claim he polluted a potential drinking water source with the dirt on his shoes, and, if he takes off his shoes, they will claim that the bacteria on his skin killed a snail darter that lived in the water.
