it's based on progressive alky control compared to the SMC kit . I had a SMC kit and it worked very well , no complaints . just wanted to try something a little different . theory wise IMO the progressive method makes a little more sense . do a search on the topic , you will find alot of info from people who are using it and some who have switch over from the SMC kit .
